Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)

The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is a stream under Canada’s Express Entry system designed for skilled professionals with foreign work experience who wish to become permanent residents of Canada. It’s ideal for applicants with strong education, language skills, and work history in eligible occupations.

Eligibility Criteria

  • At least one year of continuous full-time (or equivalent) skilled work experience in the last 10 years
  • CLB 7 in English or French (language proficiency)
  • Education credential equivalent to Canadian high school or higher
  • Minimum of 67 out of 100 points on the FSW selection grid
  • Proof of settlement funds (unless already working in Canada or with valid job offer)

  • Language test results (IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF)
  • Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)
  • Proof of work experience (reference letters, job descriptions)
  • Proof of funds
  • Police clearance certificates

  • Marriage/divorce certificate (if applicable)
