Humanitarian Parole

Humanitarian Parole allows individuals outside the U.S. to enter temporarily due to urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit—even if they are otherwise inadmissible or ineligible for a visa.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must demonstrate compelling, urgent humanitarian need (e.g., medical crisis, family reunification, threat to life)

  • No available visa or legal path at time of request

  • Case must outweigh standard grounds of inadmissibility

  • Strong U.S. sponsor and return plan (if applicable)

Required Documents

  • Form I-131 (Application for Travel Document)

  • Detailed statement explaining emergency/humanitarian basis

  • Supporting documents: medical records, affidavits, sponsorship letters

  • Proof of identity and nationality

  • Sponsor’s Form I-134 (Affidavit of Support)
