Applicants who are medically inadmissible to Canada due to health conditions that may pose a danger to public health/safety or cause excessive demand on health or social services may apply for a medical inadmissibility waiver through a procedural fairness process.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant has been found medically inadmissible

  • Must demonstrate that the condition does not pose a public danger or that the applicant has a reasonable plan to avoid excessive demand on Canadian services

  • Strong humanitarian or compassionate factors may support approval

Required Documents

  • Procedural fairness response with legal argument

  • Detailed medical opinion/report from specialists

  • Mitigation plan outlining private care or minimized impact

  • Personal statement and support letters

  • Financial proof (to cover care, if applicable)
