The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) is an open work permit that allows international graduates of eligible Canadian institutions to work in Canada for up to 3 years. It is a stepping stone to gaining Canadian work experience and transitioning to permanent residency.
Completed a program of at least 8 months at a DLI
Full-time student status throughout the study program
Applied within 180 days of receiving written confirmation of program completion
Maintained valid status in Canada at time of application
Valid passport
Proof of graduation (degree/diploma/certificate)
Official transcripts or letter from DLI
