Eligible under one of the following categories: Convention Refugee Abroad Class or Country of Asylum Class
Must pass medical, security, and admissibility checks
UNHCR referral or Private Sponsorship application
Identity and travel documents
Proof of refugee status or risk in home country
Medical exams and security screening documents
12–24 months (may vary based on country of origin and urgency)
No government processing fee for resettled refugees
Sponsors may bear associated costs
