The Start-Up Visa Program is designed for innovative entrepreneurs who can secure support from a designated Canadian venture capital fund, angel investor group, or business incubator. It grants permanent residence to founders of start-ups with high growth potential and job creation capabilities.
Qualifying business with ownership requirements (each applicant must hold at least 10%, and designated organizations plus all applicants must jointly hold more than 50%)
Letter of Support from a designated venture capital fund, angel investor, or incubator
CLB 5 in English or French
Sufficient funds to settle in Canada
Active involvement in the management of the business from within Canada
Letter of Support from a designated organization

Proof of language proficiency (CLB 5 or higher)

Police certificate and medical exam
