TPS is a humanitarian program for individuals from designated countries experiencing war, natural disasters, or other temporary crises. It allows eligible nationals to live and work legally in the U.S. for a limited time while conditions in their home country remain unsafe.

Eligibility Criteria

  • National of a TPS-designated country

  • Continuously present in the U.S. since the date specified by DHS

  • No serious criminal convictions or national security concerns

  • Must apply or re-register during designated windows

Required Documents

  • Form I-821 (TPS Application)

  • Form I-765 (for work permit)

  • Proof of nationality (passport, birth certificate, ID)

  • Proof of continuous physical presence in the U.S.

  • Evidence of timely registration or eligibility under late re-registration rules
