A Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) allows individuals who are otherwise inadmissible to enter Canada temporarily if their need to enter Canada outweighs the risks. TRPs are issued for a specific duration and purpose, such as business, family visits, or special events.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be inadmissible to Canada for criminal, medical, or other reasons

  • Demonstrate compelling need to enter Canada temporarily

  • Present a low risk to Canadian society

  • Show intention to leave Canada at the end of authorized stay

Required Documents

  • Detailed letter of explanation

  • Supporting evidence for the reason to enter Canada

  • Proof of inadmissibility (e.g., court documents, medical reports)

  • Travel itinerary

  • Police certificates (if applicable)

  • Valid passport and photos
